Our gym in Whitley Bay offers great inclusive fitness classes in which to train, with members from all ages and backgrounds. This helps make it a fantastic place to increase you fitness, along side a great community spirit running through all CrossFit classes.

 

Our CrossFit classes are constantly varied and incorporate the high-intensity fitness elements that CrossFit is well known for!

 

CrossFit uses functional movements as part of the Sport of Fitness.

 

Functional Fitness is widely talked about in Fitness Industry, with these becoming the new buzz words.

 

What is Functional Fitness?

 

Functional Fitness utilises Functional movements, which are universal motor recruitment patterns. These are performed in a wave of contraction from core to extremity; and they are compound movements. These movements can be found in everyday life, being natural, effective, and efficient locomotors of the body.

 

No aspect of functional movements is more important than their capacity to move large loads over long distances and to do so quickly.
